The University Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Professor Richard Clary, presents its first concert of the season. Opening with John Williams’ iconic Olympic Fanfare and Theme, this eclectic program spans the decades to include Norman Dello Joio’s band staple, Fantasies on a Theme by Haydn; a chamber setting of Antonín Dvořák’s Czech Suite; and Roshanne Etezady’s recent composition, Against the Rain. The program concludes with Zdeněk Lukáš’ unique tribute to his homeland, Musica Boema.
